Good morning people who are known by God and who are intimate with His heart.

Exodus 33:17 NIV And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”

The key to answered prayer is contained in the little verse.

The Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked.” This sounds like answered prayer to me.

And then the Lord tells Moses why He will answer Moses’ prayer.

The Lord said, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”

I absolutely love these words from the Lord about His friend Moses! I want this to be the testimony of my life too.

The Lord was pleased with Moses! Wow, this is so good!

And the Lord knew Moses by name! Obviously, this does not refer to the Lord simply knowing Moses’ name. The Lord knows everyone’s name. In fact, the Lord knows everything!

No, this is talking about God intimately knowing Moses. This is about the Lord knowing Moses deeply, and it clearly refers to the truth that Moses knew the Lord intimately and prioritised his relationship with the Lord.

It was true about Moses that ‘God’s will was his desire and pursuit.’ God loves this.

So, how well does the Lord know you?

How pleased is He with your pursuit of Him and your faith in Him?
