Good morning people who live from a place of encountering God.

Exodus 25:40 NIV “See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

In God’s Word, we often see people going up mountains and encountering the Lord. This was definitely the reality of Moses’ life and also Jesus’ life.

So, as I meditate on this verse, I see that patterns are best given on the mountain. In other words, we see God’s ways most clearly from a place of encounter with Him.

Many people know the words written on the pages of the Bible. This is a great starting point, but it is not where revelation is guaranteed.

We need to be people of encounter.

God wants His church to be built according to the pattern shown us in an encounter with Him.

God wants the purpose for our lives to be established in an encounter with Him.

I hear some of you say, “Steve, what do I do if I struggle to encounter God?”

My answer is: Keep showing up. Keep reading and meditating on God’s Word. Keep worshipping and thanking God. Keep praying. Keep going to church. Keep feeding on what is good and pure and holy and righteous.

In other words: Keep on maximising the opportunity for encounter to happen. 

I pray that this week will be an incredible time of deep encounter between you and God.
