Good morning people who are set apart for noble kingdom purposes.
Exodus 19:5-6 NIV “‘Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.”
God chose the Israelites to be His treasured possession. He owns everything, yet He called these people to Himself to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.
And this is exactly the same as His heart and intention for you and I as the church; as the body of Christ.
We are not just saved out of death – we are saved into life.
We are not just saved out of slavery – we are saved into freedom.
We are not just saved out of sin – we are saved into righteousness.
The people of God are not just called to be nice people. There are many unbelievers who are very nice people.
The people of God are called to be holy people. We are saved to be set apart.
We are not called to common purposes, but to noble purposes; to kingdom purposes.
We are called to be priests and kings unto our God.
We are called to be salt and light in this world.
And all of this is for the glory of God and the saving of the nations of the world.
