#5408 – Worship’s Posture

Good morning people who fight through to victory through your worship.

Exodus 17:11 NIV As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.

The Israelites were fighting against the Amalekites. Whenever the Amalekites started getting the upper hand Moses held up his hands, and the Israelites would start winning. Conversely, when his hands lowered, the Amalekites were winning.

In context, this is a physical reality that happened.

But from this physical reality, the Lord said the following to me: “Worship is a posture of victory.”

Throughout the Bible, the raising of hands is synonymous with worshipping the Lord. It is a posture of adoration, much like a little child lifting up their hands to be picked up by their parents. It is also a posture of surrender.

Between us and the Lord, both of these postures are acts of worship.

And it is this act of worship that is a powerful weapon against the enemy!

Our victory comes from our worship, even in the midst of the darkest valley.
