#5373 – Fruitful in Suffering

Good morning people whose environment does not diminish what God is doing.

Genesis 41:52 NIV The second son he named Ephraim and said, “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.”

This is God’s desire for His people today; to make us fruitful in the land of our suffering.

Fruitfulness is not contained to ease and comfort. In fact, we see more people in the bible flourishing in times of difficulty than we do in times of ease.

Paul was fruitful and flourished in prison, as did Joseph.

Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were fruitful and flourished in exile in a foreign country and kingdom.

Esther was fruitful and flourished when she was taken from her people and brought into a place of comparison and scrutiny.

Jesus was fruitful and flourished even though he was rejected, betrayed, beaten and murdered.

Our environment truly is not a limiting factor to our God.

Difficult places are often the greatest meeting places with God. They can be a place where we experience His love, His peace and His grace so much.

I pray we all look to Him today.
