Good morning people who are loved in the purest way by Jesus.

John 14:27 NIV “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Jesus said that the peace He gives is not as the world gives. This is indeed true.

But I want to further lean into the highlighted part of this verse today.

Nothing Jesus gives to us is as the world gives – absolutely nothing!

The love that Jesus and His Father – our Father – gives, is nothing like the love that the world gives. It is unconditional love. Natural love is never unconditional. God’s love is! And His love is pure. It is never perverted. It is always for our best.

The grace that God gives is different. The acceptance that God gives is different. The gifts that God gives are different.

The kindness that God gives is different. The forgiveness that God gives is different. The power that God gives is different.

Everything from God is good. Everything. No exceptions. Everything that God gives is just and right. Even His judgments are just and right. He is not biased and nor does He show favouritism.

Mankind is created in God’s image. Yet we don’t perfectly represent Him. But praise God that we are a work in progress!

God is not created in man’s image. This is the point. He is not like us, and He does not give like us. He is immeasurably and indescribably greater and better and more wonderful. This is our God!
