Good morning people who don’t misplace Jesus this Christmas season

Christmas is about Christ.

We so often hear and even say that Christmas is all about family. No, it’s about Christ.

We so often hear that Christmas is about celebrating together and giving gifts to each other. No, it’s about Christ.

We so often hear that Christmas is about turkey and ham and overeating until it hurts. No, it’s about Christ.

We so often hear that Christmas is about Christmas trees, Christmas lights and Christmas carols. No, it’s about Christ.

I am not opposed to all of the wonderful people and ‘things’ that we get to enjoy at Christmas. It is wonderful!! God loves the celebration and the togetherness.

But Christmas is about Christ.

I pray that this Christmas, Jesus is not left outside of the celebrations, nor is He replaced by endless gifts.

My prayer this Christmas is that Jesus Christ is celebrated and that He is front-and-centre of all of our lives and celebrations.
