Good morning people who place confidence in the Holy Spirit’s wisdom

James 1:5-8 NIV If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

God is looking for people who have faith in who He is. God is looking for people who trust His unchanging, faithful character and nature. God is looking for people who have an unshakeable conviction that He is for us, He is working everything together for our good, and that He will bring to completion what He has started.

It is true to say that God likes to be trusted. This honours Him and it pleases Him. This declares His sovereignty, not just with words, but in our heart. Trusting God deeply in all things declares to the enemy that we will not be derailed by circumstances or contradictions. This trusting faith sets us up to walk in the victory that we have in Christ Jesus.

It’s this single-minded, God-focused and God-confident trust that releases the wisdom of God into our lives through the Person of the Holy Spirit.

Like I said recently, are we believing Believers or unbelieving Believers?
