Good morning people who are called according to God’s purposes

Romans 8:28 NIV And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

This statement grips me!

Firstly, I am called by God! Wow!

Secondly, I am called according to His purpose, not according to mine!

Oh, how we need a deeper and more accurate revelation of this in the Body of Christ!

The Word of God is full of scriptures that repeatedly make this statement, albeit with different wording.

Luke 22:42 NIV Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.

John 17:4 NIV I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work You gave Me to do.

Matthew 6:9-10 NIV This, then, is how you should pray: “ Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
