Good morning people who have the right focus on light

Light is important because Jesus is the Light of the World:

John 8:12 NIV When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Light is important because we are the light of the world as we can see by what Jesus said to His disciples:

Matthew 5:14 NIV You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Then I read something that includes a warning to some today:

Matthew 5:14-16 NIV You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

People are to see our light, not our knowledge of the darkness – this is what changes lives!

“Oh, how is our love and pursuit of all things that are light; that comes from the Source – the Light of the World?”
