#3563 – Moses’ Response

Good morning people who cry out to spiritually see what God has said

One of the most profound examples of someone who heard God clearly, yet they responded by natural sight, not by spiritual sight, is Moses.

I encourage you to read the full account in Exodus 3:1 – 4:17, but for time sake, let me highlight a few significant things.

Moses was having a personal encounter with God at the burning bush when God spoke to him and told him about hearing the cry of His people who were in slavery in Egypt. He then gave Moses a prophetic word when He clearly told him that he was the one whom He was sending. Following this, God accompanied it by signs and wonders with the whole ‘staff turning into a snake, and then back into a staff’ miracle.

Please think about all of this! Surely Moses response after an encounter, a prophetic word, and signs and wonders would be “YES LORD!”

BUT NO! Here’s his response:

Exodus 4:10,13b NIV Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tonguePlease send someone else.”

Oh, the need to spiritually SEE what Father is saying to us! This requires not defaulting to natural sight, but rather, asking Father to help us SEE what He has said to us, as He wants us to SEE it.
