Good morning people who desire to know God more

Psalm 119:58 NIV I have sought Your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to Your promise.

I read this and was challenged with this thought:

“Do we seek the face of God or the hand of God most?”

Put another way:

“Is our priority to know God better or to receive from God more?”

I’ve found that in times of difficulty, challenge and contradiction, my focus can become more on myself than on God.

I’ve also found that in these times, it can also become more about me receiving from God than me giving to God.

This is not always wrong. Father knows that there are times when we desperately need Him. While this is always true (we always need Him), there are times when we feel this more acutely.

And in these times, He hears and responds to our desperation. He is a very good Father.

Today I simply want to encourage us to continue to seek God’s face with all our heart.
