Good morning people who live alive because of Jesus’ death

Thank You Father for the power of the cross.

The physical cross was a place of immense cruelty. Its purpose was to break, to intimidate, to destroy, to kill.

And on it was laid our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is Compassion, Mercy and Love.

The power of the cross was in the magnitude of the sacrifice when the Son of God chose to lay down His life.

The Romans didn’t win. The Sanhedrin didn’t win. The Jews didn’t win. The cross didn’t win.

Jesus wasn’t conquered – He surrendered. But not to defeat – He surrendered to the will of His Father.

The power of the cross was in the sacrifice. The power of the cross was in Who was nailed to it. The power of the cross was that sin was once and for all paid for.

The power of the cross is seen in its life-changing and life-giving eternal benefit to us. We received life because of Jesus’ death, His death on the cross.

Thank You Father for the power of the cross. Thank You Jesus for suffering so we can live free. Thank You.
