#3284 – As you Go

Good morning people who obey God even when you feel inadequate

Judges 6:14-16 NIV The LORD turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” The LORD answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.”

It’s interesting the Lord said to Gideon, “Go in the strength that you have”.

Sometimes we are waiting for God to give us more strength before we step out.

Yet in this passage we see the promise that the Lord will be with us when we step out in obedience – in the strength we presently have.

I believe that often ‘the more’ that we want, and even that we need, comes on the other side of stepping out in obedience to the Word of the Lord.

“So today, is there a step of obedience that you need to take?”

God will be your strength as you do.
