#3029 – Agree with God

Good morning people who come into agreement with God and argue with the enemy

Every day we are living by arguments and agreements.

When God’s Word says I can do something, and I say I can’t, I’m arguing with God and coming into agreement with the enemy. I don’t like how blunt this sounds, but it’s the truth, and if embraced, it’s empowering!

Let me give you an example:

James 4:7 (NIV) Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

You might say, “Who am I? The devil won’t flee from me! Maybe you Steve, but not me – I’m just me!”

I’ve thought things like this when comparing myself to some spiritual giants, or more frequently, when seeing my own imperfections.

But God’s Word is clear and it does not lie! Therefore, I have a choice: I either come into agreement with God Who says I can overcome the enemy, or I agree with the enemy who says I can’t overcome him.

I want to agree with God! I can explain why this is not possible and I can give endless excuses, but it really does come down to a decision: agree with God or agree with the enemy – argue with God or argue with the enemy.

“What will you choose?”
