Good morning people who cast their cares upon God

Jesus said some insightful things about worry. I encourage you to read Matthew 6:25-34 as we talk about this over the next couple of days.

Matthew 6:25 (NIV) “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

The first thing I want us to think about today is this: God is Just. This means He always does what is morally right. He cannot tell us to do something that is impossible for us to do – that would be unjust of Him.

In this verse, Jesus did not say, “Try not to worry”. No, Jesus said, “Do not worry”.

The significance of this for us all today is: with God’s help, we can live a worry-free life. If this was not true, Jesus would not have told us to not worry.
