#2577 – Glorify God

Good morning people who live and pray for the glory of God in your life

Jesus said:

Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV) 9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, 10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

As we have been meditating on what Jesus said about prayer, there is a common theme that covers every sentence. It is this:

All prayer is for the glory of God in our lives.

Our worship is for the glory of God in our lives. The provision of our needs is for the glory of God in our lives. Being forgiven and forgiving others is for the glory of God in our lives. Avoiding and overcoming temptation is for the glory of God in our lives. Every part of our lives and every sentence of our prayers is for the glory of God.

“Do your prayers glorify God?”
