#2356 – Praising God

Good morning people who thank God for His love and faithfulness

“If praise is so good Steve, how do I do it?”

There’s a couple of great starting points in the following scripture:

Psalm 92:1-2 (NIV) It is good to praise the Lord and make music to Your name, O Most High, proclaiming Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night,

Turn on some great praise music and dust off your dancing shoes! There is something powerful when we get our bodies to join in our praise. It is easy to say words of praise, but it is even more powerful to ‘get our praise on’ like the beautiful garment that it is! (I highly recommend PlanetShakers music for some incredibly prophetic praise music).

Start your day by proclaiming God’s love for you and for those you will meet during your day. Meditating on God’s incredible love is awesome fuel for an overflow of praise! The truth is, this will take discipline for some of us because we can be fixated on ourselves a little too often. So get up, and start to verbalise your praise to God for His love to you.

Before you go to bed, why not thank God for His faithfulness to you during the day. God is steadfast and unmovable; He is an anchor that holds us fast. He is for us, in us and He does us good. The truth is, God has been working in your life today. You might not have ‘seen’ it or ‘felt’ it, but He has been working for your good!

Finally for today, why not make a list of ten things you are grateful for. Once you’ve made the list, choose to think about these things during your day, praising God as you do.

It is good to praise the Lord!
