#2292–Don’t Delay

Good morning people who confidently move forward based on what God has said

When Christians make ‘decisions’, often we ‘delay‘ once we have heard from God.

I want to share a very powerful truth that will bring freedom if we embrace the positive side to what I say. Here is the statement:

The longer we delay, the more likely we will disobey.

Don’t ‘delay’ once you have heard from God.

“But Steve, how do I know if I am hearing God or if it’s just me?”

Question one: “Are you living life delighting in God?”

Psalm 37:4 (NKJV) Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

This ‘giving’ to you the desires of your heart is not the fulfillment of ‘what you want’, but ‘the implanting into your heart of what He wants’. Therefore, His thoughts and desires become your thoughts and desires.

Question two: “Are you committed to ‘doing’ God’s will above your own?”

Luke 22:42 (NKJV) (Jesus) saying, Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.

If your answer to both of these questions is honestly “Yes!”, then start from a place of faith, not fear or question. Rather than asking, “Is this God?”, declare “This is God!”, knowing that if God desires to redirect, He can and He will.

Philippians 3:15 (NIV) All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.

On the basis of what I have said above (and only on that basis), here’s my advice to us all: In the absence of a red light, move forwardnow. Don’t ‘delay’ any longer. It’s time to move through the doorway of ‘decision’, from the room of ‘desire’ into the room of ‘different’.

God bless you very much today!
