Good morning people who don’t allow discouragement to derail them

Colossians 4:17 (NIV) Tell Archippus: “See to it that you complete the ministry you have received in the Lord.”

We all have a divine calling. Life is not an accident or an invitation to ‘make it up as we go along’ for anyone. God has planned some good things in advance for us to do. He has a good, pleasing and perfect will for our lives. This is wonderful news to me.

Yet many people either don’t discover God’s will for their lives, or they stop short of completing it. Many people allow the disappointments, hurts and questions of life to derail them.

This is what we are told from the Word of God:

Hebrews 12:3 (NIV) Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 10:36 (NIV) You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.

So today, I stand upon God’s Word and ask you this question:

“Is there something that God has asked you to do, that you have stopped doing, yet it is not yet completed?”

Today is your day to re-engage with God’s will for your life. I pray that you ‘see to it you complete the ministry that you have received from the Lord’.
