#2179 – Sow Seeds

Good morning people who involve their children in what God is doing

Nehemiah 3:12 (NIV) Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-district of Jerusalem, repaired the next section with the help of his daughters.

I love that Shallum involved his daughters in doing the work of the Lord. What a wonderful example and invitation to us today!

As much as possible, involve your children in what God is doing.

I remember when I was involved in the worship at Fountain Gate Christian Centre. We decided we wanted the children to be involved in worship from a young age, so we started a choir. We placed adults and children as young as eight together in this choir, worshipping God and growing in their love for God’s House.

Many of these young people are now adults, but from time to time, conversations trigger very fond memories of those wonderful times.

And that got me thinking about another principle of God: Seeds sown in our children’s lives will bring about great fruit because God is faithful.

You might say your children are far from God. But I would ask you “Did you sow good seeds into their lives when they were younger?” If so, stay in faith, keep believing, keep declaring the promises of God…the story is not yet finished!!!

If your children are still young, I encourage you to involve them in God’s House as much as is possible. If God is doing something, get them around it. If you are doing something good for others, let them help. Don’t worry about how good they are at it – get them around the One Who is Good!

Seeds sown in our children’s lives will bring about great fruit because God is faithful.
