#2050 – Don’t Accept It

Good morning people who get militant against spiritual enemies

Matthew 6:9-10 (NIV) This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

Oh how I am gripped by the reality that we so often accept things that Father forbids!

Recently I heard Pastor Martin Steel preach a message in which he expounded on the truth that to ‘bind’ means to ‘forbid’ and to ‘loose’ means to ‘permit’. I highly recommend you listen to this life-empowering message which you can find under the PlanetShakers Church Podcasts.

I have started refusing to live with anything Father forbids. Let me give you a personal illustration and testimony.

For many months I have been troubled every morning with allergies that caused terribly running eyes. As a result, I took a ‘Telfast’ pretty much every day for a long time. At the beginning of January this year I woke to the same ailment. I went to the kitchen, popped out a Telfast, and had my hand half way to my mouth when God clearly said to me, “Have you prayed about it?” I stopped immediately, realizing I never had – I mean I didn’t need to (right?); there was good medication that was easily accessible. The problem was this had become my default, and I realised how often I have defaulted to medication rather than stubbornly refusing to accept what God has forbidden in heaven (there is no sickness in heaven and God said we can pray ‘His will be done on earth as it is done in heaven‘).

And so I threw the tablet in the rubbish bin and boldly declared, “I am healed of this allergy in Jesus’ name and I refuse to accept it any longer! I forbid it in my body and I will not take another Telfast!” Then I went on with my day.

A couple of weeks later I was driving home from church and I suddenly realised that I had not thought about taking a Telfast since then because I hadn’t had the allergy since then – PRAISE THE LORD!!! It is now February and I am still allergy and Telfast free!!!!

My faith is stirred and I encourage you today to refuse to accept what God has forbidden. It’s time to say “NO!” to the enemy!
