#2049 – Walk Forward

Good morning people who guard their minds in God

2 Peter 3:17-18 (NIV) Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

As dearly loved and completely accepted children of Abba Father, we should not live in fear. I remind you that ‘perfect love drives out all fear’.

But we are continually encouraged to live worthy and to be on our guard against the attacks of the enemy and worldly thinking. We are encouraged to not get carried away by error. In other words, it’s often not a deliberate walking away, but rather a subtle being carried away and being swept up.

Now being on our guard can be done one of two ways: We can either continually focus on the evil that we should be avoiding or we can continually focus on God Who is always good and delightful. I know which way is best!

In fact, these verses put it this way: The greatest eternal security is to continue growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Let’s focus on God and keep on walking towards Him.
