#1300 – Encouragement

Good morning people focused on giving to others,

Acts 13:15 After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the leaders of the synagogue sent word to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have a word of exhortation (encouragement) for the people, please speak.”

I think this should be the focus of people who speak in Church. In fact, I think it should be the motivation of everyone who goes to Church.

What would happen if every Christian went to Church to encourage others?

What would happen if every Christian went to Church with a focus on giving and not just receiving?

We often focus on coming to Church on the weekend to get fuel to positively affect our week – and this is true. Going to Church should feed us.

But I believe that what happens in our week outside of Church – how we live life – affects what happens in the corporate weekend Church meetings also.

Do you live a life that is conducive to what God wants to do at Church on the weekend?

This is a challenging thought for all of us today.

I pray that we will make an effort and make it a focus every weekend to go to Church with an intention of encouraging others.

I also pray that we will live during the week in a way that releases God’s intention to us and through us on the weekends at Church.
