Good morning people with a loving heavenly Father,

As we approach Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. But today I want to point us towards the Father.

It was the Father’s will to send Jesus to save the world.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

While on earth, Jesus always did what the Father authored. I believe this is a reflection of the way this incredible relationship has always worked. Jesus outworks what the Father initiates.

This is to be true with our lives also. The Father has a will, a purpose, for our lives. He is the initiator. We are the responders.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Can you imagine the love our heavenly Father has for us?

Because He is all-knowing, He knew what it would cost Him and His Son to redeem all of humanity back to Himself. He foresaw the pain, the suffering and the separation that would take place. Yet He still authored this incredible rescue mission; a mission to reunite mankind with God’s original intention; an intimate loving relationship.

How great is the love of God the Father!!!
