Good morning people who take action on what God has done,
2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His glory and goodness.
We too often wait to “receive” something when we should act on what we have already been “given”.
There is a difference between something being “given” and something being “received”.
When we wait to receive something, it infers it has not yet been given: a birthday present, a pay rise, a job promotion, a new car we’ve ordered…God’s peace, God’s joy, God’s grace, God’s empowerment, God’s wisdom…
This belief therefore places the point of action on the one doing the giving, not the one doing the receiving: the birthday gift giver, the employer, the manufacturer…God Himself…
This then means we are exempt from action because we are “waiting”.
But when it comes to God, the problem is we are waiting to receive that which He has already given us.
Tomorrow let me give some clear examples of this and the key to receiving from God what He has already given to us.
