Good morning people who have God’s Spirit in them
I think God wants to stir some things up in His Church today that we don’t see regularly: I believe God wants to set people free. I believe God wants to heal people. I believe God wants to save people. I believe God wants to raise the dead.
And I believe God wants to do it through us!
I don’t understand all this and I don’t see it anywhere near as much as I would like. But I want to do all that God has empowered me to do. I share this as one on the journey. Let’s look at this passage together today and allow faith to be stirred up in our lives.
Acts 9:40-42 Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called the believers and the widows and presented her to them alive. This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.
It’s never too late for God! Through God, even that which is dead can still be resurrected. Peter saw a dead woman yet still had faith!
I wonder if this is the level that is available to all of us?
Notice how Peter prayed. He simply told her to get up. This lady was dead!
This passage makes me understand how much life-giving power He has given to us; He has delegated His authority to mankind.
I wonder if we ask God too much for things God has said “You do it – you heal the sick
