Good morning people who make a difference
Acts 9:22-24 Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ. After many days had gone by, the Jews conspired to kill him, but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him.
The enemy was threatened by the power of Saul’s influence. This was the case with Jesus and many of the early disciples also.
Now some of you are going to think I am getting a bit radical today, but I am not. I am being biblical and maybe we need to lift in our expectations of what our lives should look like.
I encourage you to read on with an open heart to the Holy Spirit.
Someone who is filled with the Holy Spirit and boldly testifies to Who God is, is a threat to the enemy.
Is the enemy threatened by the power of the influence of your life?
We are not called to be comfortable and play it safe. We are called to make a difference, and with that commitment we will become a threat to the enemy. This is the way it is meant to be.
Followers of Jesus Christ are engaged in a spiritual battle; a battle in which the enemy will attack. But a battle that we are also guaranteed victory in when our lives are submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. But it is a battle. We don’t have a choice in this, yet many times we live like we do.
For some of us today, it’s time to re-engage in the spiritual battle because that’s what we are called to do. For some of us today, it’s time to re-establish a life foundation of biblical truth and not comfortable desire.
Your enemy – my enemy – the enemy should know that we are alive and he should feel threatened by us.
If we are not a threat to the enemy, we are playing it too safe.
