#1168 – Restorative God

Good morning people who God wants to bless through

Acts 7:34-35 God said, “I have indeed seen the oppression of My people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.“ This is the same Moses they had rejected with the words, “Who made you ruler and judge?” He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God Himself, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

God’s heart is always to restore people far away from Himself back to a loving relationship with Him. I love the fact that God sees people’s oppression and desires to set them free! How about you?

But then God pulls a bit of a fast one on us. He’s just said, ”I have come down to set them free” and then He adds this little bit: “Now come, I will send you back to Egypt, to the place where you were rejected, and you can be the deliverer of the people I want to set free!”

“Hang on a moment God!!!!! That’s not fair!!!! I thought you were going to do the delivering?!?!?! And for the record, those people hate me!!!!!”

Yet God chose Moses to be the vessel He worked His deliverance through.

Today God chooses you to be that vessel of restoration also. What a privilege! What an honour! What a responsibility!

Don’t be surprised if God sends you back to be a light in a place you have personally experienced darkness. Read that again
