Good morning people who persevere
(By Bree McCracken)
Sometimes in life, we can feel like our journey with Christ has hit a dead end. We can feel useless and like there is really no point anymore. We can feel like we’ll never make a difference and like the whole world is against us.
However, it is these times of struggle that make us strong. I know I have felt like this many times and each time I have come out feeling 10 times better than I did at the start. How can God build strength and perseverance in us if we never go through times when strength and perseverance are needed?
Romans 5:3-4 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
I want to encourage you all that even when we feel like following God is pointless; people still see the difference in us. When you feel like reading your Bible is pointless and a chore, it still impacts your life and people can see that.
James 1:3 Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
So keep persevering! The drought will end and the rain will come.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
