#1123 – God’s Work

Good morning people who give glory to God

Acts 3:11-12,16 While the beggar held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade. When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?…By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through Him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.

Peter did not heal this man, Jesus did.

I like what Peter said: “It’s not by our own power or godliness…”

Our power is futile. Our power is insufficient. Our power is limited to natural possibilities. Our power cannot heal, save or change anyone.

BUT God’s power can!!!!! God’s power is more than enough! God’s power goes beyond natural limitations and laws! God’s power creates life and God’s power can save lives!!!

Our godliness is insufficient to save ourselves, let alone change someone else. By ourselves, we are not good enough. In fact, our godliness, our goodness, our righteousness is like filthy rags.

BUT God has made us complete in Him! God has replaced our filthy rags with robes of righteousness! God has done a divine exchange for us that now enables us to be a part of what He is doing here on earth.

It’s all because of God – Who He is and what He has done!!!

We need to continually and boldly praise God for HIS goodness and power.
