Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Part of the success and significance of the early Church was they devoted themselves to the right things.

Every one of us devotes ourselves to something.

The right assessment of what we are devoted to is not what we say we are devoted to but by what we give our time and focus to.

So what are you devoted to?

Let’s have a look at some of the things the early Church was devoted to.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching; to knowing the Word of God and handling it correctly. They devoted themselves to fellowship; hanging out with other Christians to encourage them and to be encouraged by them. They devoted themselves to breaking bread; regularly remembering the life-changing things Jesus had done for them. They devoted themselves to prayer; listening to God and communicating with Him.

Are you devoted to these Christian essentials?

Why not recommit yourself today to make these an integral part of your life.
