#1092 – Already Knows

Good morning people who are creative and powerful

John 21:15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love Me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “You know that I love You.” Jesus said, “Feed My lambs.”

Jesus often asks us questions He already knows the answers to.

Some have rightfully asked, “If God already knows, why do we need to pray?”

God understands something that we often do not. God knows there is power in our proclamation and declaration of what we believe. What we profess has power. Do you understand this today? This is a simple truth which has profound impact on those who understand it.

Sometimes, like in the case of Simon Peter above, God asks us a question to draw out what is inside us. It’s in the verbalizing of truth that freedom and purpose is found. Positive thoughts are great and essential, but positive words are more powerful because of the inherent creative nature of words. I don’t fully understand this, but I do know it’s God’s design.

God created with words. We are created in God’s likeness with creative power in our words too.

This means we should be careful with what we say. In fact, have a look at this verse.

Matthew 12:36 I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken.

Our words are creative and our communication with God is powerful, yes even when we know God knows the answer; He is calling forth that which is life-changing.
