Good morning people who love God with everything
John 21:15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love Me more than these?”
Jesus did not just ask Peter if he loved Him. Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him more than the other disciples.
Do we love God more than anything else? Do we love Him more than family, friends, possessions, pleasures, entertainment?
Do our actions reflect the words we say? How about our time allocation; does that say “Yes, God is number one?”
I believe that God deserves our all. I also believe that God rightfully desires the number one spot in our life. God doesn’t want to just be a part of our life; He wants to be our life.
I think it’s too easy these days to be just enough Christians. But the truth is just enough is not enough. Just enough does not change people’s lives. Just enough is not a compelling reflection of the God we serve; the God who gave His all.
I believe it’s time for the more than Christians to stand up and shine. It’s time for us to love God more than anything else. And it’s time for the Church and the world to see us shine
