Good morning people who know God’s love
(By David McCracken)
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Wow! This is the ninth morning on the power of what you anticipate.
When your anticipation is one of being used or mistreated in some manner, (that’s what you anticipate because of your past experience) you feel vulnerable and erect your shields of defence (protection). Those shields of defence are then taken by the one to whom you are relating as withdrawal or hostility, and their own sense of bewilderment or offense causes them to withhold that communication of love which they may have originally had in mind.
Your anticipation has borne fruit.
Your anticipation of being mistreated has sent out a message of mistrust and created an environment/atmosphere in which it is much more difficult for one to express love towards you.
Our negative anticipation can create an environment that determines a negative result.
But does it have to be that way? No!
When your anticipation is one of being accepted and loved, you feel secure relationally. Because you feel secure relationally, the one to whom you are relating also feels that security, and therefore is more spontaneous and generous in communicating their love to you.
Your anticipation has borne fruit.
Your anticipation of being loved has sent out a message and created an environment/atmosphere in which you can be loved.
