#992 – Anticipation’s Power

Good morning people who have hope for the future

(By David McCracken)

At some stage we have all heard someone say “I KNEW that was going to happen! Didn’t I say so? It just goes to prove my analysis was correct!”

Over the next couple of weeks I will challenge these statements as we look at the power of our anticipation and the creative element of our own confession.

Hebrews 11:1 will be our point of reference:

(NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

(NIV) Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Hope is simply a positive anticipation concerning the future. Hope anticipates the positive, believes for the positive to come to pass even when there is no evidence of it in our present reality.

Faith then proclaims that positive hope.

Have you examined your anticipations lately?

Your anticipations should lift your heart in thanksgiving and praise.
