#936 – God’s Leading

Good morning people who God is leading

Mark 4:35-41 That day when evening came, He said to His disciples, “Let us go to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took Him along, just as He was, in the boat. There were also other boats with Him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, don’t You care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to His disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”

The first thing I see in this passage is that God authored the journey.

Who is ordering your life? Are you living life as you want or are you submitted fully to the Lordship of Jesus Christ? Are you following His direction on a daily basis? Are you following His direction even when you have questions or the road ahead looks like a storm may be brewing?

The answer to these questions determines whether you can have confidence and peace even in the worst storms of life.

Without Jesus in control, we cannot have full confidence, it’s impossible. But when we are following Jesus’ commands and His direction then we can fully trust Him at all times…yes even in the storms.

Today is a good day to stop and honestly assess who is directing your steps. God is the One who should be supreme and therein lays our confidence…even in the storms.
