Good morning people who love what God has done
Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
I am not ashamed of the gospel…
What a challenging thought. Are you ashamed of or embarrassed about the gospel of Jesus Christ? I’m sure we would all say we are not, but it’s a challenging thought because sometimes our actions portray otherwise.
How about when I am in a restaurant with my friends and the food comes. Do I give thanks in an unashamed way or do I quickly mutter a few words under my breath while pretending to cough? There are some religions where they religiously pray several times a day in public and they are not ashamed at all if people know what they believe; in fact, they want others to know. We shouldn’t be ashamed of the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…ever.
How about at work where it’s easy to hide; where it’s easy to fit in and fly under the radar. Are we ashamed of the gospel there, or are we so captivated by the wonder of God and so grateful for how He has changed our lives, that we take every reasonable opportunity to share the good news? An important note: I mention reasonable because we must ensure we honour God and our employer by not stealing time sharing when we’re meant to be working.
The Apostle Paul boldly declared, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes”.
I pray we all have the boldness and confidence to live unashamed as Believers in the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ.
