Good morning people who are waiting for God to speak
When we pray, we expect instant answers. If we are really honest, this would be true for most of us. If we are in the tangible presence of God then we would definitely expect God to move quickly and miraculously.
Exodus 24:15-16 When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud.
This is very interesting. The cloud of God covered the mountain for six days before the Lord spoke to Moses. Could God have spoken immediately? Yes. Did He? No.
Even when we are in God’s presence, He is often silent for a while.
But this does not mean He is absent. I pray you really understand this today. God’s silence is not God’s absence. In fact, here is a promise from God that we can always count on.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.
I need to say the key line again for you to meditate on today.
God’s silence is not God’s absence.
I pray this brings fresh hope to your soul today.
