Good morning people who love the Word
All of us have needs. For some we need a refreshing in our soul. For some we want to be able to trust someone. Some of us yearn for more wisdom and understanding. Some of us want to know what is the right way to go. Some of us crave for a deep joy in our lives. Some of us want to rediscover something that brings a twinkle back into our eyes. We all have needs.
Let me point you to the Word of God; listen to what it says.
Psalm 19:7-11 The law of the Lord is perfect; reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Do you notice the value King David attaches to God’s Word? He does not treat it flippantly or casually. Rather he holds it with the highest regard as we all should. God’s Word surpasses all worldly wealth and is far more profitable for every person.
The fruit of living by God’s Word is what you and I desire. God’s Word is what you and I need. May the Holy Spirit breathe upon God’s Word and empower us to know God better and understand His ways more.
