Good morning people with a wonderful God
Genesis 28:15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.
This is the promise that God gave to Jacob while he was sleeping. I love it! The promises God gave to Jacob, He declares to us today also as we seek to live in relationship with Him.
God is with us. What a comforting thought. When we ‘feel’ alone, God is with us. When we make mistakes, God is with us. When we are running well, God is with us. When we are outside of our comfort zone, God is with us. In fact, God’s truth declares, “I will never leave you nor forsake you’ (Hebrews 13:5). Never means never.
God will watch over us. This is another very comforting thought. Do you ever wonder who is watching your back? Do you ever wonder who has your best interests in mind? Do you ever wonder what is going to protect you from the enemy’s attacks? God will watch over us. This doesn’t mean we will be ‘wrapped in bubble wrap’ because challenges happen to all of us. It does however mean that He is in control and everything allowed will be God-filtered. Remember ‘in all things God is working for our good’ (Romans 8:28).
God will fulfil His promises. What an amazing God! Our challenge at times is interpreting what is happening to us because our natural senses scream out louder than our spiritual perception. I am no different; this is a challenge at times for all of us. But the truth is God is faithful. Did you hear that? God is faithful. His promises are ‘yes and amen’ (2 Corinthians 1:20). He who authored the promise will be faithful to see it complete (Philippians 1:6). Granted it may be different than we think but it will happen as He intended. The key is to stay close, to listen and to submit. God is faithful
