Good morning people who do not compartmentalise any part of your life.

The following verse is well known, but I want to lean into a simple phrase today:

Proverbs 3:6 NIV In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:6 NKJV In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

This verse is about lordship in every part and in every moment of our lives.

Lordship is not lordship if it is compartmentalised. Lordship is not lordship if it is in our quiet time but not in our work life. Lordship is not lordship if we are still calling the shots in our lives.

Lordship is about full submission to the leading, guiding and correction of the Holy Spirit. Lordship is about God’s will in every moment. God’s will is about the reputation of Christ, and not our own.

Do you acknowledge and submit to God in your quiet times?

Do you acknowledge and submit to God in your place of employment?

Do you acknowledge and submit to God in your entertainment?

Do you acknowledge and submit to God in your relationships?

Do you acknowledge and submit to God in your finances?

Do you acknowledge and submit to God in your passions and desires?

Do you acknowledge and submit to God in your sexuality?

As you meditate on these verses and the questions above, are there any adjustments that Father wants you to make today?

May the God who is Life truly be Lord of every part of our one life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
