#5668 – Reclaiming Courage

Good morning people who have enough confidence in God to take courageous steps of faith.

I am seeing some people with increasing confidence in God this year! I am seeing people who have such a God focus, that you are willing and ready to take some courageous steps of audacious faith!

Before the children of Israel crossed the Jordan River, defeated Jericho and entered the promised land, God had to speak truth into them. He desires to speak it into you and I this year as well.

Joshua 1:6-9 NIV Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

There is some spiritual territory to be inherited this year. Therefore, we need to be strong in the Lord and courageous enough to take steps of faith.

Our courage comes from our confidence in the Word of God. This is so important to understand. God made this clear to Joshua and the children of Israel. The instruction of God was to obey all of God’s Word and to keep God’s Word on their lips. The result of this was courage in the hearts of God’s people!

Our courage also comes from our confidence that God is always with us. This is a spiritual reality that is beyond full human comprehension! The Lord God Almighty and Maker of the heavens and the earth will never leave us nor forsake us. Glory be to God!

So, get out your spiritual marching boots, pick up the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, square back your shoulders and hold your head up high! It’s time to take some more kingdom territory for the glory of the Lord of Hosts!
