#5662 – The Father’s Work

Good morning people who see what the Father is doing and partner with Him.

If we continually have too much to do, then we are trying to do more than what Father is asking us to do. To claim otherwise is to believe that God is not a good Father.

If we are going to walk in the rhythm of rest this year, we must learn to live like Jesus lived. The following scripture speaks a truth that, if it’s good enough for Jesus, then it is good enough for us.

John 5:19 NIV Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”

There is a great need for us to be spiritually minded. It is impossible for us to see what the Father is doing outside of revelation from the Holy Spirit. This way of living is not for a select few who are spiritually elite. It is this way of thinking that has kept far too many on the ruthless treadmill of frantic living.

There is a better way!

If I’m running out of time, then I am doing something different than what the Father is doing. It may very well be great things, even kingdom things, but it’s more than what Father is asking of me. If Jesus didn’t run out of time to fulfil His kingdom assignments, then nor do we run out of time to fulfil Father’s kingdom assignments for us.

Therefore, the question is this:

Is what I am doing right now an assignment for me from the Father?

The question is not:

Is this a good thing to do or even a godly thing to do?

We must ask better questions, and a better question is about assignments, not just about opportunities.

Let’s go deeper tomorrow.
