Good morning people who are alive because of the grace and kindness of God.

Ephesians 2:6-7 NIV And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Wow, what a rich scripture!

God raised us up with Christ. Jesus died and was raised to life by the Spirit of God. You and I were dead in sin and we have also been raised to newness of life by the Spirit of God. This is all a work of our wonderfully gracious, loving Father in heaven!

God the Father seated Jesus at His right hand in the heavenly realms. God the Father has also seated us at His right hand in the heavenly realms because we are now hidden in Christ! Being ‘in Christ’ changes everything!

The truth is none of us fully understand the depths and the power of God’s grace in our lives. We might say we do, but we don’t. I most certainly don’t.

How is it even possible to know what the self-existing God went through as He sent His one and only Son to become subject to the people He created? And not only subject to them, but ridiculed, mocked and killed by them!

There will come a day – in the coming ages according to Paul’s letter in the verse above – that we will more fully see the extent of the incomparable riches of God’s grace that was expressed to us through His kindness in His Son Jesus.

May today be another step deeper into this life-giving truth of grace and kindness. Father, bring revelation to our hearts in Jesus’ name. Amen.
