#5613 – Strength & Peace

Good morning people who receive from the Lord what you need in your life.

Psalms 29:11 NIV The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.

It is such a wonderful thing to know that the strength that we need does not originate from ourselves. We don’t have to be – nor can we be – strong enough in our own strength. Our strength comes from the Lord.

Ephesians 6:10 NIV Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

God-reliance is our right position in life.

In this Psalm, David amplifies what he means by the Lord giving strength to His people. He says that this happens through the Lord blessing His people with peace.

God’s peace = our strength.

Have you had times when you don’t feel God’s peace?

I have, and it is in these times that we feel weak. The absence of God’s peace results in us feeling weak, while the presence of God’s peace results in us feeling strong. It is a kingdom equation.

One of the names and character traits of our wonderful Lord and Saviour is the Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 NIV For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

As we intentionally walk with Jesus today, may we know that we are walking with the Prince of Peace, and may this truth be a life-giving source of strength to us. In Christ, we are more than conquerors.
