Good morning people to whom the Lord loves to reveal His heart and intentions.
Psalms 25:14-15 NIV The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.
The Lord loves to confide in His children. He loves to share the secrets of His heart. He loves to show us His eternal kingdom perspective. He loves to take us into His heart.
But He chooses to do so to those who fear Him. Obviously, this is not about being afraid of God to the point of us running in fear from Him. In fact, it’s the opposite!
This holy fear that releases the secrets of God into our heart is based in our awe and wonder at God’s magnificent beauty and holiness that causes us to step towards Him while bowing low! There is an “I’m standing on holy ground before God” posture of humility and reverence.
To these people, God loves to share His heart, including His covenant with them.
God is a covenant-making and covenant-keeping God! He is not a trivial God or a flippant God. He is a deep God, a very deep God. And part of the deepness of God is seen in the reality that He makes covenants with His people. If we stop to think about this, it truly is too wonderful for words!
A covenant is a binding agreement between two people. God promises many things to those who enter into Him and live according to His kingdom ways. The promises of God are not for the careless and the thoughtless, but for the ones who reverentially fear God and put their full confidence in Him.
The best way that we do this is to keep our eyes ever on the Lord. Having God in the center of our vision is essential to entering into Him and essential to living in His covenant.
