#5580 – Spiritual Practitioners

Good morning people who are not content to simply read about what God can do.

Here’s what I find myself praying:

I am not content with theory. I want to be a practitioner of the gospel in its fullness.

Jesus didn’t die so that we could just know some things. Yes, we must know the truth, but the truth that we know is to overflow in the life that we live.

To followers of Jesus, He gave this commission:

Matthew 10:7-8 NIV “As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”

It’s time for the people of God to see more miracles! God didn’t stop being God when the Bible was finished being written. He is still the miracle-working God!

There is something significant in the following verse:

Matthew 10:1 NIV Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

Jesus still calls people to Himself today. We must know that our call to God is before our commission to the world. As we come to Jesus, we enter into eternal life, and this is where we receive authority – from Jesus!

And that authority is to drive out all demons and to heal every disease and sickness. I praise God for the miracles we are seeing, but I know that there is so much more that God yearns to do! I want to partner with Him to see this become a reality ‘on earth as it is in heaven.’

It’s time to be a practitioner of the gospel in its fullness!
