#5523 – Meditate Continually

Good morning people who chew over and live in the precious Word of God.

Psalms 1:1-2 NKJV Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

Oh the lost art of Bible meditation!

Many say they do it – fewer actually do.

Many reduce it down to trying to think right.

The word meditation talks more about speaking than it does about thinking.

Yes, it’s imperative to think right, but what empowers us to think right is actually us speaking right. We speak right when we speak in alignment with God’s Word.

The world we live in is relentless in pushing anti-Christ values and ways of thinking on people. It’s not subtle anymore – it’s blatant. It’s not hidden anymore – it’s pervasive and in your face.

Therefore, we need to be people who take charge of what we feed on and what we speak out. In fact, what we speak out can be traced back to what we feed on.

It’s time for many to turn the TV, the social media and the worldly conversations off, and it’s time to open the bible, and to turn the worship and the sermons on. In fact, turn it up, speak it out and sing along to the truth.

It’s time to reclaim the power of the tongue as a weapon of warfare.

It’s time to be blessed by what comes out of our mouth and by what we choose to think about.
