#5458 – Unto the Lord

Good morning people who honour the leadership that God has placed you under.

Leviticus 6:6 NIV And as a penalty they must bring to the priest, that is, to the Lord, their guilt offering, a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value.

What we bring to our spiritual leaders should be brought as unto the Lord.

What you feel when you read the line above reveals a lot, and it is a good starting point for what Father wants to do next.

If you celebrate and accept the truth found in this verse (and it is found in many other verses in both the Old and New Testament), then praise God. I pray that you continue to flourish as you honour God by honouring His appointed authority.

However, if you read this and your response is not so positive, it’s time to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you.

It’s very important at this point to verbalise the reality, that some of you have been badly treated by those in authority over you, including spiritual authority. I truly am sorry that some people have dishonoured their God-given responsibility. They will give an account to God.

That said, their wrong doing does not excuse our wrong doing.

My prayer is that you step into deeper freedom today as Father leads you forward in the truth of what He is saying today.

1 Peter 2:13 NIV Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority.

1 Peter 2:18 NIV Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.

Colossians 3:23-24 NIV Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
